MAYA JAMA WEARS THIS £290 PERFUME FOR LOVE ISLAND FILMING – WE FOUND A £58 ALTERNATIVE

Maya Jama is currently on our screens hosting the latest series of Love Island – which has already got us hooked – and she's been treating us to sneak peeks at some of the beauty favourites she's packed for filming while in Mallorca. One of them is her "current fave" perfume, and here's where you can buy it – and cheaper alternatives.

Posting to Instagram stories, Maya shared a snap of Giorgio Armani Magenta Tanzanite Eau de Parfum, writing: "And because you lot have been asking since Chris said I smelt nice, this is my current fave.

"If you like like cinnamon like me you will," followed by a melting face emoji.

Inspired by 'the mysterious aura of Tanzanian skies at dawn', according to the Selfridges website, this rich, spicy scent contains notes of ginger, cinnamon, coffee and vanilla bourbon, and is available to buy from retailers including Selfridges, John Lewis and Harrods.

One fan describes in the the John Lewis website as "a touch of smelling like an extremely high end Christmas hot chocolate with a shot of espresso", a description we love.

Another agreed, calling it a "stunning sweet tobacco-coffee-choco-vanilla scent."

At £290 for a 100ml bottle, however, this fragrance is more 'blow the budget' than 'bargain', Luckily we've found some cheaper alternatives that will enable you to copy Maya's perfume for less.

We think Jo Malone London Ginger Beer Cologne, £58 for a 30ml bottle, makes a great alternative; from Jo Malone's recent Scented Mementoes collection and inspired by the traditional picnic drink, this scent also has notes of ginger and cinnamon, along with warm roasted oak.

Although it's a smaller bottle than Maya's Armani favourite, ml for ml this Jo Malone offering is cheaper, so a good option if you love spicy scents.

Another option that's heavily focused around the fragrance note of ginger is Prada Les Infusions de Prada Gingembre Eau de Parfum, which has hundreds of five-star reviews and is currently reduced from £135 to £114.75 for 100ml.
