QATAR AIRWAYS TO REMOVE FIRST CLASS FROM THEIR NEW PLANES

Qatar Airways' next-generation long-haul aircraft will not include first-class seating, according to the airline's CEO, Akbar Al Baker.

The airline's CEO stated that the investment in the most opulent seats did not justify the returns, considering that Qatar's business-class service offers many of the same benefits.

“Why should you invest in a subclass of an aeroplane that already gives you all the amenities that first class gives you,” said Al Baker to a media in Istanbul on June 3rd, adding, “I don’t see the necessity.”

According to Al Baker, the future is in business class, which Qatar has marketed as its "Q-suite" product. As a result, there will be no first class on its future Boeing Co 777X aircraft.

When the airline retires all ten of its Airbus SE A380s, which still have eight first-class seats, the Boeing Co 777X jets will be the largest it operates.
